Word on the street has been that Deitch Projects will be closing up shop so that Jeffrey Deitch can run things at LA’s MOCA. Deitch Projects is one of my all time top favorite galleries in the whole wide world, and I always secretly wished that one day (when I got established enough in the art world) I could be down.

I mean, not only does Deitch Projects ooze with NYC cool, they have represented and helped blow up some of my favorite graffiti artists-turned-art-celebs: Barry McGee, ESPO, & Os Gemeos. Add Kehinde Wiley, Ryan McGinnesss, and other super creative artists to that mix and you’ve got one all-star art gang that I’d get my teeth busted out for if only they’d jump me in. Well at least I don’t have to get that giant DEITCH FOR LIFE tattoo on my chest that they made Twist get before he got down (kidding, kidding). So anyway, in tribute to NYC’s coolest gallery, I’ve stolen a few pics off the web to give dap to Deitch & some of the artists he works with.

Oh, by the way best of luck to Jeffrey Deitch. As they say: When one door closes, another one opens.
